Each year, The Old Church on the Hill holds the Spring Fair to raise funds for the community hub. It is run by volunteers, and supports members of the community to come together, connect, learn, and participate in a variety of activities. 

For the 2024 Spring Fair, I assisted to raise funds by taking a lead in making jam to sell at one of the stalls. I showed fellow volunteers how to make jam, and stayed behind hours after many had finished, to bottle the jams and allow them to set – as well as cleaning up, of course!
