Youth Climate Network

The Youth Climate Network is a space for young people living in the Loddon Mallee region to connect with other like-minded people, share information and learnings, and have their voices heard in planning for a climate-ready future.

Future Ready Youth Retreat

In September, 2022, ADAPT Loddon Mallee hosted a Future Ready Climate Retreat where young people could come together to plan for the future. There were activities and workshops, information sessions, discussions, and a whole lot of fun to be had.

I particularly enjoyed working together with other young like-minded people to make a canvas of our ideal world, and the discussion on what needs to happen for us to make a positive impact on the future world.

GBCC Summit

The youth of Bendigo took to the stage for the Greater Bendigo Climate Summit to share their voices concerning the climate crisis.

Workshops

The Youth Climate Network (ADAPT Loddon Mallee) is planning and designing some workshops featured around “Climate-Ready Food Systems”, “Climate-Ready and Sustainable Homes”, and “Climate-Ready and Resilient Natural Environment”.

The project aims to provide hands-on learning to young people, while facilitating connections between young people and local environmental volunteer organisations with the potential to form ongoing relationships and inspire young people to volunteer for nature. It also aims for young people to make positive sustainable changes in their own lives and homes.
